STUDENT FORUM



The Student Forum at DSN provides an opportunity for students currently working in the area of dependable and secure computing to present and discuss their research objectives, approach and preliminary results.

The Forum is an opportunity for presentation and for discussion. The selected student research papers will be presented in the Student Forum sessions, accompanied by the Student Forum Program Committee, composed by professors working in the field of dependable and secure computing, who will actively participate to the discussions.

Submission guidelines:

Student research papers should have a student as single author. The paper should describe the topic, preliminary results, and future direction of the student's on-going research. The student must commit to presenting the work, if accepted, at the conference.

Papers submitted to the Forum should be at most four pages in length, must be formatted using standard two-column IEEE format, and must be submitted by the deadline of April 6, 2009. Please use the following naming convention: Student_Y_Z.pdf where Y is the first author's last name, and Z is an abbreviation of the first author's institution.

Selection and Notification:

The criteria for acceptance of Student Research Papers will be originality, relevance and interest to the community. The Student Forum Program Committee, led by the Student Forum Chair, will review the submitted papers.

Accepted contributions will be published in the supplementary volume of the 2009 International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks, and presented in the Student Forum track at the conference. Submission of a contribution to the Forum indicates agreement that the student will present the work, if accepted, at the conference.

Authors will be notified of decisions by April 20, 2009. The camera-ready version of the accepted papers should be submitted by April 27, 2009.
